The Story of Pro Football
Program Description: This program examines the “museum concept” brought to life through the use of our priceless artifacts and historical documents, which illustrates the museum approach of conveying the history of pro football through artifacts/documents. There is also a discussion on Northeast Ohio's historic ties to pro football and why the Hall of Fame is located in Canton, Ohio. There is a 15-minute Hall of Fame video shown during this program. Program Description: This program examines the contributions of African American pioneers in pro football, beginning in 1904 with the signing of Charles Follis to modern day players and coaches. A 10-minute segment from the documentary Black Star Rising will be shown to reinforce the topic. The Kansas Comet’s Roommate

Heart of a Hall of Famer Series: Rayfield Wright
Program Description: Our character education series Heart of a Hall of Famer continues with a videoconference on Monday February 27, 2012 at 12:00 noon and 1:30 PM EST.  Join Pro Football Hall of Fame tackle Rayfield Wright as he talks about the traits that made him one of the game's greatest.  Wright was selected to play in Pro Bowl for six consecutive seasons and was Named to NFL’s All-Decade Team of the 1970s. Today, Wright is the CEO of Wright’s Sports and Nutrition, President of PetroSun, LLC, and the President of the Rayfield Wright Foundation. This is an interactive program and is limited to six schools at each time slot and unlimited view only. Test connections will take place on Friday February 24, 2012 at 12:00PM ET.  The program is designed for grades 6th-12th and is FREE of charge. These spots will fill quickly so act fast.
