Gadget Works |
Program Description: Join Professor Gadgeteer to learn about forces and motion by taking apart wind-up toys. Trace the energy flow through the toys and help Professor Gadgeteer solve a puzzle involving the motion of a toy car as a post-visit activity.
Each program includes hands-on materials for 30 students that will be used during the 60 minute show, and materials for many additional hours of in class activities. |

Videoconference Teacher Training |
Program Description: This interactive session is perfect for teachers who are new to videoconferencing and is ideal for groups of teachers to participate in the same session.
Videoconference Teacher Training includes hands-on activities and demonstrates how COSI’s videoconferencing programs support classroom curricula. Teachers tackle the hands-on activities in small groups in this 30-45 minute experience.
Includes one companion kit with all necessary materials for 30 teachers. The kit is custom tailored for the grade level of the reserving group and may include: simple machine, sterile, or forensic identification activities and a program brochure. |

In Depth: Autopsy for Grades 10-12 |
Program Description: Experience a REAL autopsy from start to
finish. Guided by a forensic pathologist,
students follow a videotape of an actual
autopsy from beginning to end. Students
must work through the “case” and solve
for cause of death.
The autopsy will be shown from the
Y-incision to the removal of the brain and
is 90-minutes long. Adults and community
groups are welcome. Preview Autopsy Program

Surgical Suite - Total Knee Replacement |
Program Description: Surgical Suite is a powerful learning experience for students and adults that lets you ask questions and interact remotely with surgeons and medical personnel in a real hospital operating room.
Please reserve up to 3 hours for the Open Heart program and 1.5 hours for the Knee program. Both are live surgeries and starting time and duration time can vary depending on the patient needs.
Teachers will be sent a kit of materials prior to the conference. In the kit, teachers will find materials to conduct both pre and post-visit activities, along with booklets for the students to use during the program. |

Weather Watch |
Program Description: Work with COSI's newest Storm Spotter to learn how changes in air pressure and temperature can affect the weather. Students will take and use readings from barometers and thermometers to help them predict basic weather patterns. They will also explore air pressure using everyday objects and understand why changes in weather often occur around cold and warm fronts. All materials for pre- and post-visit activities are included in the kit.

Each 60 minute event listed below begins with a 20-30 minute presentation by the expert followed by a Q&A session.
The cost is $155 per program per school and includes a test connection, the session, and biographical & subject information.
